Resolved Issues
  • If incorrect permissions were applied to server files after installation the non-root user was unable to edit server config files, yet no error was given as to why changes could not be saved. Correct system error massaging now applies
  • The "Edit" menu item was mistakenly removed from version 1.5.x and has been reinstated

    • New Features
  • New preference item allows application to check for updated versions at launch
  • New massaging and error alerts added to areas where they had been omitted
  • New software download server integrated into application, previous versions will no longer be able to download updates without using this version
  • Front panel now updates including revised copy for server stats, new icons for server component states and the title is now changed to reflect the server you are working on

    Future Release Plans
    Currently our release plans for Server Manager 1.0.5, up to version 2.0, include the following features and enhancements:
    1. Virtual Host Manager (Add, Edit, Delete)
    2. Apache General Configuration Settings
      • Edit Apache Port Number
      • Edit Apache Server Name
      • Edit Default WebApp URL Alias (currently defaults to /cool/)
      • Add/Edit WebAppDeploy Directives
      • Edit Default ErrorDocument Settings for 404, 500 errors
      • Enable/Disable PHP
      • Enable/Disable OS X User Accounts (www.example.com/~shortname)
    3. Advanced Edit Panel Enhancements
      • Implement Find
    4. Tomcat General Configuration Settings
      • Enable/Disable Manager, Admin, Examples webapps
    5. Software Update Auto Checking
    6. Enable "Strict" permissions settings for server for use in production environment
