Fe77 Software Updates Server Manager To Version 1.0.2
San Francisco, California, February 24, 2003 - Fe77 today introduced an update to Server
Manager.app, our desktop client used to configure server settings from the comfort of the
Finder.
Server Manager v1.0.2 includes several changes including the addition of an online help system,
Server component installation checking to ensure correct filenames and location for server software,
the ability to verify your Apache2 configuration file at the time you save your changes, several
bug fixes and a nice new icon.
What's New
- Integrated online Help system also available at http://help.fe77.com allows you to post comments on our articles and to see what others have written
- Server component verification at application launch ~ helps keep everything in the right places
- "Server Uptime & Load Statistics" now creates a history log file each time the you choose the option. Future versions will enable charting of the stats ala netcraft.com
- Application window is now resizable to allow easier editing of configuration files
- Saving Apache2 or Tomcat configuration files now prompts you to save or cancel the operation.
- Saving from Apache2 will also allow you to verify for changes in real-time and show where errors have occurred
- "Server Manager Tools" > "Apache Options" > "Verify 'httpd.conf' configuration" allows you to check your Apache2 configuration file edits prior to restarting Apache2 web services.
- "Server Manager Tools" > "Premium Subscription Service" allows you to purchase an automatic server update contract with the price of the original package already deducted. When purchased thru Server Manager a 12 month contract is now correctly listed at $40.00, a 24 month contract is now correctly listed at $140.00 and a 36 month contract is now correctly listed at $240.00
- Fixed a critical bug relating to the status panel hanging after multiple simultaneous commands and causing the application to freeze.
